Unglued Devotional: 60 Days of Imperfect Progress
I never really knew how moody and emotional I was until I got married. I guess I can say that as I live every single day getting to know my husband deeper, I have come to also know myself in a deeper level. I realize how easily I get annoyed at even the simplest things and consequently realize that I need God’s grace everyday so I can avoid those negative emotions.
Unglued: Devotional is a 60-day devotional book that contains daily verses, daily thoughts, short devotion and closing prayer.
This devotional takes the readers in a journey to learn to “positively process raw emotions, such as fear, anger, and regret”. I like how author Lysa Terkeurst uses the term “imperfect progress” to describe what the reader will be going through in the next 60 days.
This devotional will not change the reader in an instant. Instead, it stands as a companion as we make it a goal to change the way we react to situations.
I like how Lysa conveys her thoughts in a conversational style that doesn’t seem too distant or overwhelming. She doesn’t make me feel like I’m a bad Christian for not being perfect. It’s like having a good friend tap your back saying “you’re not alone, we can do this”.
This book is actually a companion for the original “Unglued” book so you may want to check that out too. I don’t have it though but it’s all good because you don’t really need to have the “Unglued” book to understand and to relate to this devotional.
OMGosh…how cool to come to your site and see a very recognizable book. I’ve not read this book of hers but heard it’s great. I’ve ready many of hers and she is phenomenal!
You should read your bible every day.
I’ve been looking for a new devotional, and the fact that you said it, “doesn’t make me feel like a bad Christian for not being perfect,” makes me drawn to it. Thank you for your review!

Sounds like a good read! I love devotionals and this may be exactly what I’m looking for!
I am pretty similar to the way you described yourself above. I think a lot of women are. We are complex creatures. :p This sounds like a book I could definetely benefit from.

Thanks for this wonderful review. This came at the perfect time. Coincidence? Of course not…no such thing. My dear friend and I were recently searching out our next group Bible study and were led to “Unglued”. We just picked up the books yesterday!
For some reason I’ve started to get really crabby quite often lately – reading this every morning may help. Thanks for the lead!
Every time I see this book, I think how I really need to read it. I love everything Lysa has to say and have read several of her books and studies.
Sounds interesting.I might read it.
I am not very spiritual but I would be willing to do this everyday if it would help me and my marriage.
This book keeps popping up. I wish there was a giveaway I’d love to win it.
I will see if our local bookstore has this. I like to look at books before I purchase, it may just be the thing I need right now..
I like reading devotional books, and this one looks like it could really help me. Thanks for the heads up on this awesome book!
i very much enjoy books like this…there are easy to read chapters that don’t take a ton of time, but do take thought. devotionals are great for bedside reading, i always have one on my nightstand.
I need this book, moody too!
I also find myself easily annoyed and impatient at times where things don’t work right or go right. I think “Unglued: Devotional would be a big help for me to get my attitude back to peacefulness.
What an appropriate name for a devotional. Without Christ renewing my thoughts as I come to him throughout the day, I become “unglued” with my negative responses to people & situations. Thank you for your review of this book. It helps to have recommendations from our brothers & sisters in Christ.
I definitiely need help with this. I am by nature a very moody person. What a good idea this is! Without His help, what a mess we’d be in!
Thank you for the review. I’m always looking for good devotionals!

Thank you for the wonderful review. This is a devotional that I have been wanting to order.
I certainly understand getting annoyed at the little things. I do try to redirect myself to something else until I settle down. Then I find I’m better able to cope. Its always a good idea to seek guidance in making our path and the path of others proceed more smoothly.
This sounds like a great book for all of us. Thank you for sharing your review.
Sounds great! Thank you for sharing.
I am sure that my in-laws would love this. Thank you for your review.
Non of us are perfect and we never will achieve it on this earth. This sounds like a nice devotional book. Thank you for sharing. I love reading from a devotional book each morning before I get going
There are no perfect people out there. We are all a work in progress. God will help us overcome some of these things if we work on it and come to Him in prayer. Thank you so much for sharing this nice self help book
