It’s that time of year again – the start of the 2015/2016 Scotties Facial Tissues 5th Annual TREES ROCK video contest!
Why would you want your kid’s school to enter? Because the campaign, open to students in grades 3-6, provides them with environmental curriculum and tips about the many amazing things trees do in our community. It teaches kids the importance of trees, and can help fund their school’s sustainable project.
To enter the Trees Rock Video Contest, students are encouraged to shoot a 1-3 minute video to tell Scotties why trees are so important. The grand prize winner (determined by a national vote) will receive $10,000 to use on a sustainable project at their school.
All videos are to be submitted by November 13, 2015 at www.ScottiesTreesRock.com. The top 10 finalists will be announced in December 2015, and from there the videos will go to a national vote to determine the winner by early 2016. Prize money will be awarded at a celebratory event in April / May of 2016.

Cool contest. Love it!
What a fun idea. Trees do rock, and I bet my kids would love to do a video of them enjoying all that trees do for us. Thanks for the info.
This makes my heart happy. I love seeing kids care about the planet!
Such a great idea! I love contests that build awareness for important causes. I bet my kids would have such a great time making their video submissions. Climbing trres is one of their favorite pastimes!
This sounds like a really great thing to participate in!
This is an AWESOME contest!!
This is such a great project for kids to become more aware of the environment, I love it! I home school my children or I would probably try to get my daughter to enter. She is a bit too young though. I will definitely be sharing this with all of the parents I know!
That sounds like a good program. I have never heard of it before.
