A few years ago many of the technology we use now was something we only imagined or thought was a long ways off. With video phones, iPads, etc., we are able to keep in touch with others as well as simplify everyday tasks.

But nothing can be more frustrating than having slow internet connection. Thankfully, internet connections are starting to speed up and slow internet connections are truly becoming a thing of the past.

Comcast recently announced it will begin offering Gigabit Pro, a new residential Internet service that offers speeds at 2-Gigabits-per-second. And I’m really excited about this! We have been using Comcast for years now and we love it!

Gigabit Pro speeds will be at least double what any other provider can provide. You’ll be able to download multimedia files in 60 seconds, HD movies in 20 seconds and full music albums in less than a second. With this change, XFINITY has increased their speeds 15 times in the past 13 years – a showing of dedication to the future of technology.

The speedy service will launch in Atlanta, California, Chattanooga, Chicago, Colorado, Houston,Knoxville, Miami, Nashville, NW Indiana, Portland, Twin Cities, Utah and Washington state. It’ll be available to about 18 million homes by the end of the year – more homes in more neighborhoods than any other network!

Just like I never knew I couldn’t be without my smartphone and laptop, there are many technological advances coming in the near future that will become necessities for us as technology exceeded imagination. Make sure and stay up to date with all that Xfinity has to offer in the coming years starting with this amazing new speed.

$100 American Express Gift Card Giveaway — 102 Comments

  1. I couldn’t live without my smartphone. It’s everything — connection to the world via texting and social media and the internet, entertainment via the Netflix and Hulu+ apps, and an e-reader too! I’m not a very tech-savvy person, but the smartphone has definitely improved my life.

  2. Cell phone is what I can not live without because I can contact my family and make sure I can receive calls from work.

  3. I would really miss my laptop, if my ipod still worked I could make it work with wifi, so I guess internet/wifi is the tech I would miss the most

  4. I could do without my cell phone if all these boneheads keep calling me, but if I needed it in an emergency, it sure comes in handy! I could go a few days without my laptop, but it can do so much more than a phone, maybe not over a week.

  5. My BlackBerry. I’ve tested other phones for no more than a day and I do own an Android tablet, but I love my BlackBerry immensely. It’s so efficient with communicating through email, text and so forth. And if I’m not near my laptop I’m always choosing my BlackBerry for anything to do with the internet. It’s my mini handheld computer and I’m infatuated.

  6. I could not live without my cell phone for many reasons but the main one is actually taking pictures on the go.

  7. My smart phone keeps me connected to all my kids ( I have 5) and my hubs! I love keeping in touch with all of them!

  8. I would not enjoy life as much if I did not have my computer … I also like my kindle I don’t have a smartphone or many gadgets.

  9. I wouldn’t live without my computer as it is my lifeline to the outside world since I am homebound 90% of the time.
