Do you ever wonder why throwback (or flashback) posts are so popular? I got one word in my mind. Nostalgia. Throwback photos and videos help bring to remembrance the good old days when life was simpler, or happier, or maybe weirder.

There’s something pretty awesome about connecting with your kids over something you loved when you were young. It offers kids a glimpse into what you were like as a kid yourself and gives you a way to relive your childhood.

Cartoons such as the new Netflix original series Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse are giving parents and kids loads to bond over. These new reboots are introducing a whole new generation to some of our most favorite characters.

Now if you’re in the mood to binge watch on some throwback shows with your kids, check out this list of 12 shows and movies that you can stream on Netflix!
