I love Netflix, I think it brilliant. I was first sceptical at first because when my friend had Netflix it kept on buffering so I thought it was a bad service. Turns out, she just needed faster internet so she looked at the best broadband deals in her area and got one that was cheap but faster than the one she had. Once I saw Netflix work well like that then I knew I had to get it. It has really helped me teach my son about major life lessons. As a mom, it’s very important for me to teach my son to be honest at all times. But let’s face it, we all lie. White lies make life easier for us parents and also helps make our kids happy. Lies like the existence of Santa Claus, the park being closed when the kids want to go, and being back in just a few minutes when we need to leave them with the babysitter. Young kids also make up stories as they learn the difference between fact and fiction, while older kids sometimes lie to cover for each other or to keep themselves out of trouble.
Yes, I guess everyone has lied at least once in their lives. But we all know that lying can get us in trouble. And lying can lead to more lies which can lead to even bigger lies.
How do you cope when you catch your kid lying? Here are some kid-friendly titles related to lying and honesty!
For little kids:

2. Care Bears: S1E8, Untruths and Consequences
3. Veggie Tales in the House: S1E9, Lie-monade

For big kids:

2. A.N.T. Farm: S3E9, Pants on Fire
3. Spy School
4. Jessie: S1E14, World Wide Web of Lies
And for teens and parents:

Such a great post. I hate lying !!! Teach them young and they will forever be honest is what I say 🙂
Just make sure that YOU are honest and your kids will learn.
I want Longmire
Great tips. We have seen A.N.T. Farm.
I totally believe in being honest. Sometimes you have to be very tactful, say if a friend asks if they look okay in a certain outfit, and they don’t. I figure if asked a direct question, it’s usually by someone that knows me well. I will tell them what I think. Just, kindly.
My daughter always loved Totally Spies and when I was young I loved Care Bears!
I will definitely make sure we see some of these. I know my grandkids will enjoy this. Thank you so much for sharing
This is a great list of programs we love netflix and my grandson loves signing time as he uses sign language to communicate i highly recommend this show
Oh cool. We are going to watch Totally Spies.
Super concept! If a child learns early on that lying is wrong, there’s a much better chance of growing into an honest adult. Also, teach by example – don’t lie to your kids!
Thanks for the overview of positive options on Netflix. They have SO much to choose from it can be overwhelming. This helps narrow things down!
(12 Shows On Netflix That Encourage Honesty #StreamTeam) My one son and I just watched some really good movies on Netflix a couple of weeks ago.
It’s definitely good for kids to see consequences when characters are untruthful!
I think that NetFlix can be great for the kids when it is used properly. I like the review, keep teaching us how to use it right.
I used to watch Revenge and I saw that episode of Jessie, those are great shows. Right now I’m streaming Malcolm in the Middle on Netflix.
Such a great concept! Thanks!
