Walmart To Go: Convenience At Its Finest!

As a participant in the Walmart to Go First program, I’ve received a personal invite and payment for my time and efforts in creating this post.

It’s summer. Most of us are probably trying to spend more time outdoors so we can enjoy the nice weather — except maybe during times when it’s a little too hot. One thing I know a lot of us love in the summer (or even year-round) is having gatherings with friends.

Most of the time we just head over to the house of whoever’s assigned to host the party. Then everyone brings whatever food they can bring so we can have a feast (more like a pig-out). We don’t really care much about decorating because what’s important is that we’re having fun in each other’s company while enjoying good food.

But what if you’re too busy to go to the store to buy groceries?

That’s not a problem with Walmart To Go.

Walmart To Go is a new delivery service that lets you order grocery items online.

They offer Walmart’s Every Day Low Prices online so you can save money and save time! Just shop and pay online to purchase products in stock at a Walmart store near you, choose a delivery date, and your order will be delivered right to you!

Imagine that. You don’t have to go to the store just to buy groceries and you don’t have to wait so long for all that stuff to be delivered! Walmart To Go can definitely help us line up everything we need for parties or gatherings — from meats, grilling essentials, and party decor, to camping and outdoor supplies.

When I first tried this service, I didn’t have any plans of having a get-together with my friends yet so I decided to get items we need at home. I must say that I loved browsing the website and checking all the categories to see what items I can buy.

I ended up getting snacks for my son, coffee creamer, and 2 cans of soup. Because I love soup.

Walmart To Go: Convenience At Its Finest! — 41 Comments

  1. This would be great with our weather that makes it difficult to get around. My mom could use this as she’s a senior and doesn’t drive. Great idea!

  2. This would be so nice, because I wouldn’t have to take my four little ones to the store with me anymore! The store could come to me! Too bad I don’t have a Wal-Mart close to where I live, or I’d definitely try it out.

  3. This is the first I’ve heard of the Walmart To Go service, it sounds great I can’t wait to give it a try. These big retailers are adding online orders to compete with online shops like Amazon and Google. Thank you for sharing this post.

  4. i did not know this service was available via walmart. i will check out and see if it is in my area and if i can use it or at least try it.

  5. Oh wow! I wonder how many items there are to choose from!? This would save a lot of people time…I have never seen this in my area! So neat!

  6. This would be great for those without cars or if the car is in the shop! And also on those days the weather is really bad.

  7. I’m not sure if our Walmart offers that service. I like the idea of having my groceries delivered. All except for the meats. I’m pretty picky when it comes to that. Is there a flat fee or do you pay as you go?

    • Hi Lisa! There is a free option but it depends on the time slots you choose. Right now, I see that the 4-hour and 2-hour delivery slots are free. But the 1-hour delivery slots are $10. You can try checking the options in your area though. I’m not sure if the fees vary depending on your area. When you sign in, click “Book Delivery Time” on the bottom right and you will be taken to delivery options.

  8. Sounds interesting, don’t know if I would try it especially if they charge a delivery fee

    • Hi Alexia! Yes they do but there’s also a free option. When you sign up, they send you promo codes every now and then. I received a code for free delivery for my first 5 orders, as well as some $10 off codes. 🙂

  9. I will have to take a look into it. This service sounds really good for the homebound people that have a hard time getting out and going to the grocery store!

  10. Hmm this is interesting, would save me from taking my two year old to the store with me 🙂 I ‘m going to give it a try thanks to your post!

  11. This sounds awesome! I do love Walmart’s low prices, but it sure does give me one giant headache going there, lol! The Neighborhood Walmart isn’t so bad, but regular Walmarts are just way too big. Today, for instance, I had all 3 kids (all under the age of 5) and we spend almost 2 hours there. Let me tell you, it was one of the most stressful and tiring experiences ever! I will definitely be taking advantage of this one.

  12. I am all for having Groceries &Other Items delivered to my House, especially Since I hurt my Back & Neck in a Wreck! It’s hard to Carry Heavy Bags & the Next Day I will be Hurting all over! I will keep this in mind when I just need a Helping Hand every now & then! Thanks for Keeping us Informed! God Bless! Jana

  13. This is very convenient when one just doesn’t have the time to shop in person at the store.

  14. OMG! I can’t wait to see if they do this in my area! I would love to forgo my trip to Walmart and have things delivered! This is an awesome idea! thanks for sharing!!!

  15. I have never heard of this before and we have 2 super walmarts in my area. It must be new and only in the bigger cities. We are always the last to get anything here in the PA. mountains. I would love to try this!

  16. I had no idea that walmart provided this service. This would be a godsend for my grandmother.

  17. I love this idea of not having to go to the store. When i go to the store i buy things that are NOT on the list which causes me to spend more money so with this way I would not be tempted to buy items not on the list so it would save me money!

  18. I am so glad I saw this. I never knew Walmart had this plan. I have grown to tremble at the thought of shopping. 🙂 Even though my 7 kids are all grown with their own families. It certainly would have been a Godsend instead of shopping with my tribe. Thanks so much for this heads up. I’m going to check it out.

  19. I didn’t even know this existed at Walmart! I’ll have to check out this service and see if it would work good for me.
