I received the Disney skins below from DecalGirl for purposes of evaluation. Thoughts are my own.
As you may already know, I’m a total Disney fan and my favorite characters are Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. I have a variety of Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse themed stuff — shirts, pants, earrings, necklace, plush toys, pens, storage cubes and a neck pillow — because I just love them. So I was absolutely thrilled that I was given the opportunity to review and dress up my gadgets with Disney Skins from DecalGirl!
Are you a huge Disney fan too? Are you planning your next Disney getaway and checking the internet for ideas to make it even more fun? DecalGirl’s Disney Skins can add a touch of magic to your phone, tablet or laptop.
I chose the Mickey Face skin for my 13″ MacBook Pro. I was so nervous about installing the skin on my MacBook because I’ve never used vinyl skins before so I had to concentrate on what I was doing. Surprisingly, it was pretty easy to apply the skin on the MacBook! So now instead of my usually boring-looking laptop, here’s what I see every time I use it!
So cute, right?! I love the matte finish on these skins because it looks so clean and clear without glare from the sun or any light source. And unlike other matte finish products, the images on the decals don’t look blurred at all!
For my iPhone 5, I picked the Mouse Love skin. The blue and white stripes looks so nice on this design that I knew I just had to get it! And since I wanted to check out both types of finishes, I got this one in glossy finish.
As for our iPad, which is mainly used by my husband and son, I chose the Oh Boy skin. Mickey and Goofy are 2 of my son’s favorite characters so he was ecstatic to see our iPad dressed up in this design.
I also have a Kindle Paperwhite, and because my husband and my son never use it, I decided to go for a more feminine design. I picked the Minnie Bow skin. Now who wouldn’t be motivated to read more if your e-reader’s that cute?!
You may have noticed that matching wallpapers are available for gadgets that can support it. For this review, you see that my MacBook, iPhone and iPad all have the adorable wallpapers from DecalGirl. The Kindle Paperwhite doesn’t support wallpapers though so there isn’t one for that device.
Both glossy and matte finishes look really nice. The main difference is that with the glossy finish, there’s a bit of glare when in direct sunlight or under bright lights. The feel of the materials are different as well. Personally though, I prefer matte finish because I just feel like it looks very elegant (even in other stuff — my business cards have a matte finish too).
DecalGirl products are 100% made in the USA. They are the only skins company that makes its skins out of US-made vinyl and US-made laminate. They’re also the original vinyl skins company in the US, the first to offer free wallpapers on supporting devices, and first to offer different finishes (matte and glossy). Overall, DecalGirl aims to offer the best quality skins at the best price, and provide the best value and customer service to its customers!
