Lexus RX 350 F Sport Review

I already considered it a blessing to have had the opportunity to test drive a Lexus LX a few months ago, so to be able to test drive another Lexus vehicle is twice the blessing!

Lexus RX 350 F Sport

The Lexus RX 350 F Sport is a luxury 5-seater crossover that offers almost all of the features of a Lexus SUV. From the outside, you can see that it looks as beautiful as the bigger Lexus LX. I liked it the moment I saw it, but I began loving it when I sat on the driver’s seat and started driving it around.

Lexus RX 350 F Sport Driver Seat

All the driver controls look so elegant inside the Lexus RX! I loved the look of the meters in front of me, as well as the elevated display screen which is set a really good angle.

I also loved that it has a Heads-Up display system which projects your speed and navigation directions onto your windshield. It makes it look like the numbers and the arrows are floating on the road before you; and it definitely helps keep my focus on the road.

Lexus RX 350 F Sport 2nd Row

The back of the middle seat on the second row can be folded down so that if there’s only one or two second-row passengers, they’ll have an extra cup holder and a compartment. And I’d have to say it’s an awesome feature for when you have a child that needs his/her milk AND water bottles beside them.

The second row can also be fully folded to give you ample space for when you need a bigger space for your stuff.

One of the things that make this vehicle unique for me is that it has a Remote Touch (see top left photo above) which allows me to control the screen on the dashboard just like a computer mouse. This is the first time I’ve seen any vehicle have that kind of controller.  You’ll also see some of the extra spaces and compartments in the photos above.

I loved driving the Lexus RX around during our quick vacation! It has made our trip all the more special because who wouldn’t want to drive a luxury vehicle while you’re sightseeing, right? This vehicle had a smooth drive and it seemed like it knew what our family needed in terms of space and features. I would definitely love to have this as our family car! And you should check it out too!

BUY IT! The price for the Lexus RX 350 F Sport SUV starts at around $48,535 depending on any customizations or options you choose.

The price is a lot lower than the Lexus LX which I drove in February because there are a lot of features that are different between them (i.e. the LX has a V8 engine while the RX has V6, the LX has 3 rows while the RX has only 2, etc.). I personally prefer a V6 engine over a V8 because I don’t need to spend too much for gas (plus points for the RX!), but I prefer an SUV that has 3 rows so we can have more space (plus points for the LX!). So in my mind, it really just boils down to your family’s preferences. Don’t forget to visit your nearest Lexus dealer so you can experience it for yourself!

Have you driven a Lexus RX 350 F Sport? What are your thoughts on it?

* I was given permission to do a one-week test drive of a 2014 Lexus RX SUV. No monetary compensation was received. Thoughts are my own.

Lexus RX 350 F Sport Review — 28 Comments

  1. I have never driven a Lexus, but this Lexus is my favorite between the two you reviewed.

  2. What an amazing car!! It truly is a luxury SUV. I have always loved Lexus, there are a few models that at one time or another have been my “dream” car. I am not in a position to shop for something new right now but when its time I will definitely be checking out Lexus.

  3. Wow! That’s a nice ride. I am an SUV type Mom. This has a lot of great features. I think this is worth looking at. I currently drive an old Expedition, it’s still really nice and roomy, but it guzzles the gas! This is a nice ride.

  4. What a sweet looking ride! I wish I could afford this. (Maybe I’ll start saving now). That remote touch is really amazing, I haven’t heard of any other car having that either. What I REALLY like is the display system on the windshield – keeps your eyes on the road, for sure! Thanks for a super review!

  5. It must feel strange to drive other vehicles. It always takes me a while to get used to a new car.

  6. What a beautiful vehicle. Seems to be a nice price, but you have to add about %10 plus the additional sales price….because I live in Canada.

  7. Great review on this car. I’m glad you enjoyed test driving it so much. 🙂

  8. Oh, to have the money for such a beautiful car! Besides the bells and whistles, it must be so safe.

  9. I Love this! I have been keeping my eyes open to different vehicles, suv’s, crossovers, mini vans etc. My van I now have has age on it and is needing repairs and other services to it now which is costly and I am going to need another vehicle soon. My main choice of car is an Suv or crossover since I have never owned one but have had the opportunity to drive my friends or families suv. I have always thought I’d like to own one….I will definately keep this one on my list to look at.!!

  10. It’s been awhile since I would rent a car to try out while on vacation. It’s nice to hear about others reviews, especially on the Lexus RX 350 F Sport, but it’s still going to come down to a test drive for a day. Preferably a weekend at least.

  11. Sounds like a futuristic car with the numbers on the windshield! I’ve always been curious about the luxurious Lexus and now I got to see one first hand! Sounds like a smooth ride!

  12. I love this SUV. I really like the makes/models that Lexus makes. They definitely put out a quality product.

  13. The Lexus, in the pic, is absolutely luxury!! I would LOVE to own a vehicle like that!! We are still driving a 2008 Chevy Malibu. I am not complaining. It IS a good reliable car & right now, we couldn’t afford another car, but I can still dream 🙂
