As someone who has worked at a dental office before (yes, I’ve mentioned that time and again), I know the importance of flossing after every meal and I know the consequences of not doing so. That’s why I always have dental floss with me whenever I leave the house. But did you know that there’s another kind of floss out in the market aside from the usual string floss?

Yup! Water flossers! And I got to try the Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser.

The Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser is the easy and more effective way to floss and is the most advanced water flosser ever. It is clinically proven to improve gum health versus string floss and it leaves your mouth feeling incredibly fresh and clean. It’s perfect for anyone with braces, implants, crowns, or bridges.

The Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser features ten pressure settings and 2 flossing modes (Floss and Massage). The handle itself has the On/Off water switch to make it easier for us to control it while flossing. It has a covered reservoir with in-lid tip storage, and it includes 7 flosser tips — 3 Classic Jet Tips, 1 Plaque Seeker® Tip, 1 Orthodontic Tip, 1 Pik Pocket™ Tip, and 1 Toothbrush Tip. You can floss using any of those tips depending on your need.

Using this water flosser is very easy. Just fill up the water reservoir with lukewarm water, choose your tip, set the pressure to one that you’re comfortable with, and floss away! It has a 1-minute timer with 30-second pacer to ensure thorough water flossing in all areas. The reservoir holds enough water for 90 seconds of water flossing. The tips can be rotated 360⁰ for easy access to all parts of the mouth.

It’s recommended that you set the pressure to the lowest point when you start. You can just slowly increase the pressure as you prefer. When I tried this water flosser, it felt really good. I didn’t feel any pain that I sometimes feel when I use the traditional dental floss. And I felt like I was having a dentist do the flossing for me.

Waterpik Aquarius Professional Water Flosser has a MSRP of $79.99. Additional product information can be found on the Waterpik website.

  13. I’ve never tried a waterpik but I’ve always been curious! I remember my great uncle having one in his bathroom and never really knowing what it was or how to use it. Thank you for the explanation! I hate flossing although I do it regularly; I’ll have to look into a waterpik.

  14. What a cool tool, I really hate flossing and this looks like it would help a lot

  15. I too have worked at a Dental office for about 7 years and I was amazed to find all the people that just wouldn’t floss. We would of course recommend different items to help them keep their teeth and gums at it’s best but somehow they just assumed we wanted them to spend more money-lol. I have 3 sets of bridges and I HATE trying to floss through them. This product sounds great for my dental needs and the fact that if we order thru you we get free shipping is an extra bonus. My birthday is coming up and I’m considering asking my hubby or Mom to maybe get for me. Great Review
