Delivery Man Blu-Ray/DVD Review

I received the Delivery Man Blu-Ray for purposes of evaluation. Thoughts are my own.

How would you react if you found out you’re the parent of 533 children? Obviously, that would be impossible but what if? Just knowing that someone has 4 or more children already seems so stressful for me. In fact I can’t even imagine how I can manage everything if I get pregnant again. But 533? That has got to be really crazy! Thank God the “Delivery Man” is not a true-to-life story.

Don’t miss Vince Vaughn, Cobie Smulders & Chris Pratt in the outrageous and heartwarming story about an affable, middle-aged underachiever who finds out he has fathered 533 children.

Film Synopsis:
In this heartwarming comedy, underachiever David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) learns he’s actually an overachiever — he’s fathered 533 children via donations made twenty years earlier! David soon discovers that the shock of his life might just be the best thing that’s ever happened to him. Along the way he discovers not only his true self, but also the father he could become. Also starring Chris Pratt and Cobie Smulders — and complete with bonus materials, including behind-the-scenes footage — it’s a feel-good movie that really delivers.

Bonus Features:
– Building Family (Blu-ray & Digital)
– Vince Vaughn: Off The Cuff (Blu-ray & Digital)
– “I Got The Part” (Blu-ray & Digital)
– Bloopers (Blu-ray, DVD & Digital)
– Deleted Scene: You Are Under Arrest (Blu-ray, DVD & Digital)
*Digital bonus offerings will vary per retailer

David Wozniak in this film did not want to reveal his identity as “Starbuck”, an overly generous donor at the sperm bank in the 90s. But he got curious about who his children are so he checked out the profiles and visited them and tried to help them out — his way of being a “father” to them without actually telling them that he was their father.

I love the way the story developed into a really entertaining family movie. And I love how David started to change his perspective upon knowing that he has become a father and realizing what being a father means. I think it’s pretty much the same for almost everyone of us. I mean, I must admit that when I was single, my highest priority was just myself. But now that I have a son, it’s like my world has changed and I started to put the needs of another person before mine. So yes, while the premise of the Delivery Man may be impossible, his journey as a first time parent is something other parents can easily relate to.

The Delivery Man is a good movie with lots of laugh-out-loud moments as well as heartwarming ones — something my husband and I would gladly watch all over again and still enjoy.

BUY IT! The Delivery Man is now out on Blu-Ray, DVD, Digital and On-Demand! Be sure to look out for it at your nearest retailer!

Delivery Man Blu-Ray/DVD Review — 38 Comments

  1. Sounds like a great family movie…and those are getting harder and harder to find anymore. Today, movies are either totally adult, or totally kids…the happy medium seems to have gone missing. It’s so nice to hear of movies that come out that the family can watch together.

This one sounds good. I like the idea of showing a man in a positive role as a Father-figure. This also seems to be missing a lot in movies lately.

  2. I have not seen Delivery man yet, I am looking forward to watching it on DVD, I hear that it is a great family movie and comedy. Thank you for sharing this review.

  3. I haven’t seen this movie yet either– but the ads I have seen have really made me laugh– Its on my list to see–But its will be just me and a couple girls friends on our day out. Then that will give me a real clue if my kids will get to see it. Thanks so much

  4. I don’t watch the movies like I use to but my nephews watch them all the time here and they would really enjoy this one I think.

  5. This movie sounds like a lot of fun and I bet it has tons of laughs. I like comedies and am looking forward to seeing this funny story with Vince Vaughn! He is so funny!

  6. I actually just got to watch this movie! Your review is pretty spot on to how I felt about it too! 🙂

  7. Movies remain an activity I enjoy watching as I do every week. I do this and imagine I am the writer and artist and draw characters and (write scripts) of my own opinion I enjoy the graphics that are often used. The movie mentioned (above) sounds like one I might enjoy watching as it appears to consist of many histeric scenes! If I ever win a prize I might consider getting the movie or spending the money on bills that need to be paid!

  8. I haven’t had a chance to see this movie yet, but by the review it def makes me wanna watch it and have a good laugh. Thanks for the great review, would be on the look out at netflix 😀

  9. I really wanted to see this movie at the theater but with 2 kids the only movies I watch lately are cartoons. I will definitely put this on my must rent list.

  10. I love Vince Vaughn as an actor. I haven’t seen this yet but would love to watch this with my husband. Sounds great!

  11. I haven’t seen it but saw it advertised so much on TV-looks like it is pretty funny!

  12. I wasn’t sure about this movie. Wasn’t on my list to see. But if it’s good enough to watch more than once, I’ll check it out.

  13. I don’t know what I’d do with that many kids!! This movie sounds funny!

  14. I want to see this- going to have to Redbox it soon. I never buy movies because I hardly watch them more than once, which is an ongoing debate with my boyfriend.

  15. Okay, to start with donating sperm is disturbing enough to me. But, to find out that your “seed” fathered over 500 kids??? I couldn’t begin to imagine. The two that I have now are hell on me sometimes. LOL Based on your review, I might just have to make a date with my wife to see this. Thanks.

  16. This movie is an interesting concept on donations, and the outcome, I think it would be fun to watch and enjoy with my hubby. It has a lot of details that could happen in real life, and the changes we do when we become a father or parent. THank you for the review.

  17. My husband and I are always looking for new movies to enjoy…sometimes we don’t watch a particular movie because it just looks silly. I kinda want to watch this one now! LOL! Obvs it’s jst a movie, but I think itd be hilarious to see someone like Vince react to this possibility. Thanks for sharing your review.

  18. I am glad to hear that this is not a true life story. That would be crazy! But, the concept works for a movie.

  19. I honestly had never heard of this??? At any rate, I am now going to look for it. Thank you.

  20. Thanks so much for the Fantastic Review on Delivery Man Blu-Ray/DVD! I’ve never heard of this movie until now! It sounds like a good movie though! WOW 533 Kids! No Way! I’d be out of my mind crazy if I had any more than I do! Thanks so much for sharing this Fantastic Review and all the information on the movie! I’d really like to see it (have to talk to hubby first though!). Thanks again, Michele 🙂
