ReSqueeze Reusable Pouch Review & Blendtec Giveaway

I received samples of the ReSqueeze pouch for purposes of evaluation. Thoughts are my own.

As a mom of a 2-year old, I know how picky some kids can be when it comes to their food. My son prefers fruits most of the time — to the point that he doesn’t want to eat meat or carbs anymore — that’s why I try to “hide” the food he doesn’t like. By “hiding” I mean sneaking in some pureed veggies or meat into the food that he loves. And it’s great to be able to easily bring it wherever we go without having to bring so much stuff. So thank heavens there’s ReSqueeze!

Based in San Francisco, CA, ReSqueeze provides reusable baby food squeeze pouches, ideal for feeding soft foods to infants, toddlers, and school-age children. ReSqueeze is a convenient, cost-saving, and environmentally conscious alternative to existing market offerings — one-time use food pouches.

ReSqueeze

I think the ReSqueeze is the best reusable pouch I’ve seen. Aside from the fact that it has a really cute design, I love how easy it is to use. Β The bottom opening is wide enough so I can easily pour in any smoothie or puree that I’ve prepared for my son (or for me!). I just have to make sure I don’t overfill it (stop pouring when you get to about 3/4 of the pouch) so I can easily close it with the zip closure.

ReSqueeze 3

The ReSqueeze holds about 6oz of smoothie or puree which is a pretty good amount for a serving. The spout is on top and not on the side as I’ve seen on others. I think a side spout is just awkward. The ReSqueeze can easily be held by a baby or toddler with both hands.

ReSqueeze 2

It’s made of BPA-free plastic so you don’t have to worry about that. You can freeze it and you can put in in your dishwasher. And best of all, it’s made in California! With so many businesses trying to outsource labor and production, I appreciate ones that continue to offer jobs to locals.

All in all I’d say this is a must-have for every home that has a baby, a toddler or a grade schooler!

ReSqueeze Reusable Pouch Review & Blendtec Giveaway — 334 Comments

  1. Ever since I was pregnant I had decided that I was going to make all my sons food. I was always skeptical of the nutritional value of those jars. Did my research and I was right to be wary. They have basically nothing but the taste and color of the food that they are. No vitamins are left after the heating process. Pureeing his food for the last 2.5 months has been fine, but being able to take it with is so much better!! I got a used ReSqueeze from a family friend as her daughter doesn’t use it as often now that she’s older. It is amazing! I always tell myself to order more and never do it. I’m glad I stumbled across your blog though, 20% off is a good deal. Mahalo!!

  2. I absolutely love to puree bananas! I think they’re so delicious! And sometimes I put the puree in molds and freeze them for a cool treat.

  3. I would love to win the blender but I do have a nephew that would love the ReSqueeze as well. My kids are 26 & 30.

  4. I was wondering…how easy are these to clean? Do you put them in the dishwasher (I have a difficult time visioning that) or use a bottle brush?

  5. I love that there is less waste. These would be convenient to use on a car trip. Is there a problem with ingredients separating?

  6. Very cool. I don’t have kids but I can see how this would be great for on the go or even packing a lunch and including it. So fun to drink out of instead of a cup for the kids too.

  7. I think these would be great and easy to pack along. The fact that they are one time use would have me looking for something else though.

    • The whole point of the product featured in this blog is that they aren’t one time use like the pouches you buy in the babyfood isle of the store…they are dishwasher safe and easy to clean and reuse…

    • Kate, the pouches ARE reusable. I hope you see this or read the numerous posts about the fact that they are reusable before you look elsewhere.

  8. I’ve recently been working diligently to reduce our househould waste. I love the idea of reusable squeeze pouches.

  9. My daughter loves those little fruit pouches. I would love to able to make them at home and reuse the pouches! Thanks for introducing me to this.

    • These pouches sound perfect for my grandsons! They love to have snacks when travelling in the car!

  10. These are a great idea for my two yr old son. We always buy the disposable. Great way to reduce waste and save.

  11. these are so awesome, i love how easy it is to fill , how easy it is for the child to hold and to use and also how nice and easy it is for mommies to clean up after lOLLL thanks @tisonlyme143

  12. I don’t own a dishwasher so I wonder how much of a pain these are to clean manually? These are really a great idea to feed your children healthy foods and to reduce waste.

  13. My Autistic son’s favorite smoothie flavor is banana; while he does like other fruits, he is not big on veggies at all! I’m hoping to win the Blendtec Total Classic Blender Wildside & ReSqueeze Pouch Set in order to introduce more foods into his diet in the form of smoothies and sauces and gradually work the foods into his diet.

I am very excited about this contest!

  14. Now that my little one is old enough to eat solids I can’t wait to try these out! Such a great idea!

  15. I would love to use these! I like the convenience, but would prefer to know exactly what is in my little one’s food!

  16. That’s the only way I can get my granddaughter to eat any veggies! I have to sneak them into the juicing or the smoothies I make for her, the fruit covers up the veggie taste!!

  17. I love these. It’s hard trying to be creative in order to get picky eaters to eat/drink healthy! The cute pouches make it fun! What they don’t know, will help them! lol Love that dishwasher safe! I was thinking too, since you can freeze them, even elementary age kids would enjoy them in their lunch! Pouch is similar to the Capri Sun type drinks, but with these, you can fill with a much healthier & tastier drink!

  18. I love reusable pouches. I have a couple from another company and I love that I can just rinse and refill them with whatever my daughter likes. Great for on the go.

  26. I never made one nor had one I hear the smoothies are healthy. That is the New Year thing I want to do. Last year it was start a veg garden, for the first time.

  27. I need a new blender very badly. And what better way to use a new blender than to make healthier snacks for your kids? I love how the pouches are reusable!

  28. I hate being so wasteful with little ones. They go through so much food packaging. What an awesome idea!

  29. My husband & I just had a conversation about investing in a blender like this and here you are having a giveaway! That is totally awesome!

  30. My favorite is the purree apples, they taste great, plus my kids love them too ;).thank you for the oportunity

  31. Does blended coffee drinks count? If so making my homemade Mocha ice blended coffee!!

  32. Ahhh!! BPA free reusable pouches are a dream come true! My boy loves the pouches but if I put the same thing in a smoothie cup, he won’t touch it. Please! Please! Please!

  33. Favorite splurge is almond milk, cacao nibs, almond butter and frozen banana. Usual morning is chard, spinach, kale, apple, frozen banana, chia, water or almond milk.

  34. It’s weird, but my daughter loves blueberry/spinach puree. And the whole family loves banana–frozen, yum!

  35. This is a really smart idea. My daughter loves the pouches, but I love the idea of being able to control what exactly goes in there!

  36. I’m trying to learn to love green smoothies… so I guess that’s what I’ll say! πŸ™‚

  37. My favorite smoothie: 4 Whole Strawberries (+) 1/3 cup Blueberries (+) 1/2 small Banana (+) 1/2 cup plain Greek Yogurt (+) 2 Tablespoons Protein Powder (+) 2 Tablespoons Almond Butter (+) 1/4 cup Almond Milk.
    Blend until smooth & enjoy.

  38. The review and photos is really a great help in knowing about this product. I agree spot on with what you say about the ability to reuse these pouches; plus, your tips about not over-filling and how to clean the pouches are very useful. I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to win this and “sneak” more nutrition into kiddos daily menu.

  39. I appreciated this review as my daughter and six month old grandson live with me and she needs to find a new way of feeding him He has an aversion to baby eating utensils and the cloth teething/eating thingamabob she has is quite messy

  40. As a grandmother of soon to be three, my grandchildren love special treats Grammy gives them. This blender with the reusable squeezes would work perfectly

  46. ReSqueeze pouches are so convenient to use in the car, while shopping, or anywhere your child could need a little pick me up.

  47. I think this looks like an amazing product and your review answered my question about ease of filling and washing. I’ve bought the pouches of one time use baby foods recently for travel with my 1 year old and he loves them so I think having this reusable pouch would work great for him and cut down on cost of buying the other ones and the waste we produce by throwing all those pouches away. Also, he could have a lot more flavor options, he’s not picky but he likes a wide variety of flavors!

  48. These look awesome! I cringe every time I buy the sqeezey fruit in the grocery store, they are so PRICEY, but the kids love them!

  49. Love blueberry, strawberry, etc. My blender needs retired. This would be great for hubby & I to fix juices, smoothies, soups. We are empty nesters, 60’s have to watch our diets because of hubby’s sugar, my RA, Fibro. Making smoothies for grandkids visits would be a plus also. thanks for the chance

  62. these would be wonderful for my daughter when we travel and I like that we can reuse them.

  63. I love this blender. My fave smoothie is OJ, strawberries and banana with a little yogurt added.

  64. Oh, look at that: I just noticed in one of your photos, you’ve made an avocado smoothie. I love those! Everyone I know thinks I’m crazy. They’re so good, though.

  65. I would certainly like to try these, especially during the summer months when my grandkids and I are always out and about. I could fill these with the “liking of the day”, put them in my to-go cooler and the kids could grab them in a moment. What a convenient way to pack foods and drinks on the go!

  66. I love the fact that when you puree foods you aren’t loosing the nutrients. The fact that the pouches are reusable ROCKS!! Thanks for the great review!!!

  67. i love the idea that you don’t just have to put fruit in ths, you can add anything you want. its great to add kale or cucumbers, healthy drinking is the way to go πŸ™‚ thanks

  68. I love the fact that these offer a quick easy place to freeze our extras. They will be great to throw in a lunchbox.

  69. These pouches are awesome. I’m always looking for ways to reduce my waste and I think these would work perfectly.

  70. I really love how ReSqueeze’s style of reusable pouch opens at the bottom, allowing for optimal space in (re)filling the pouch and cleaning!

  71. Since I have been trying to reduce our waste to landfill amounts, the motto of Recycle, Reduce, Reuse has become crucial. I like these pouches for this reason.

  72. My daughter is 3 and she still LOVES those squeezy pouches! If she wants pureed spinach, peas, and pears for a snack, why not let her eat it! It’s much better for her than other things she could ask for! I love the ideas of these because they are reusable, they would save me a ton of money and I could make my own combinations! I also really like that they are dishwasher safe and BPA free!

  73. I love this concept and that I can know exactly what is going in it!! My 2 boys have used the pouches from the store a few times and I know they can handle them! I love that these are re-useable since I am genuinely trying to be more health and environmentally conscious! Thank you for this opportunity!!!

  74. The blender is one of the best in the business. The resqueezes are great for many things. You can use them for puddings too.

  75. I would really LOVE to win this giveaway! I’ve been wanting a Blendtec for years! My kiddos are both super picky, but they LOVE yogurt (even plain Greek yogurt) and they love smoothies! Neither of them eat meat, so I would love to have a nice blender that I could mix in spinach for iron and other greens like kale and broccoli. My daughter still loves those baby food pouches and she’s three…it started with the applesauce ones and then she started wanting the other ones….so I let her. There are worse things she could want for a snack than some pureed spinach, peas, and pears….I just wish I could make it myself and if I had the ReSqueeze pouches and a Blendtec, I could! ~ Carrie Demas

  76. I make smoothies all the time with my $30 blender. This would be amazing!!! I am a smoothie fiend!

  77. Such a great idea. One of my New Year’s Resolutions was to be more green. This looks like a great place to start.

  78. I really like that these can be reused ( one reason I wouldn’t buy the ones already filled in the store..) and are BPA free…and dishwasher safe. They have made them too convenient and too easy to use, no reason not to!

  79. I like the classic Got Milk smoothie with 1 cup milk, 1 ripe banana and whatever add-ins you like strawberries, cocoa powder or 2 tbsp peanut butter. Be sure milk (or milk substitute like almond milk) is ICE COLD and that you peel and refrigerate or freeze the banana otherwise it will be warm. Blend and enjoy!

  80. I used to make my kids food (way back when)15-20 years ago, and this would have been fantastic! We had feeder bottles or baby spoons but nothing that was travel friendly (not really anyway.)I love that this is an innovative product that is made in the USA! The zipper closure was a great idea too! Dishwasher and freezer safe is very cool!

  81. I’ve noticed over the years that children are far more likely to consume something from a pouch than most other ways. This face makes these pouches even more effective for the picky eaters and drinkers among us.

  82. I’ve been hesitant to try the organic food pouches for lil ones for a while, but the fact that ReSqueeze allows ME to fill a pouch up with what I make for my booboo, Brilliant!!!!

  83. Your son is adorable. I love making smoothies so this blender would be awesome for me…

  84. Thank you for this! There are so many more options now, and I love being able to see first hand how people like them πŸ™‚

  85. I like that the bags are BPA-free and what a wonderful idea to make your own and reuse the bags, money saver.

  86. I seriously cannot wait to start making blended smoothies with fruits and veggies for my lil man!

  87. I would love to be able to use the Resqueeze bottles for my son’s purees or just for making sauces and things as well and storing them for use on roadtrips or the like.

  88. I love that their products are green conscious and I would love to use their products because my kids drink smoothies everyday.

  89. The first thing I would make would be a strawberry, banana, spinach, yogurt, and flaxseed smoothie. Yum!

  90. This Blendtec blender sounds amazing and powerful and the BPA-free ReSqueeze pouches makes this so earth and baby friendly. This may be one of my favorite giveaways!

  91. This would be great for my little 1 year old daughter. It would make mealtime less messy, yet she would be getting yummy stuff!

  93. I love blenders and mine is messed up. This one looks really nice. Thank you for the chance to win.

  95. Absolutely love this idea! I do not like throwing these pouches away when I buy them and what is better then making your own anyway? Love!

  96. I love that you don’t need a funnel to put the smoothie in the pouches. I would be worried about a mess but it doesn’t seem like you need to be. A definite plus!

  97. These pouches are a great idea for travel… even the ‘big kids’ (mom & dad) could use them, too!

  98. Thank you so much for the promotional coupon code! Such a great deal for those who don’t win!

  99. I’m 52 years old now so my baby is now 24 but I wish I would have thought of something like this when he was a baby.I think most boys are picky eaters and being able to hide the food and mix other things into it to get them to eat is a great ideal.Hats off to who ever came up with this

  100. The picture on the packages reminds me of a cartoon I’ve seen. I can’t remember the name. It’s going to drive me nuts.

  101. My favorite smoothies are anything with bananas and raspberries and some frozen yogurt.

  102. This would be great for my granddaughter because she is so picky. She hardly eats any vegetables at all. She loves fruit so maybe if I use this, I will be able to sneak some vegetables with the fruit. And I know she would love to use the pouch because she has eaten them before and liked them alot.

  103. I really love how the ReSqueeze is a U.S. based company! And they care enough to make it BPA-free AND reusable?! Love it!

  104. I like the idea of reusable pouches. Its a great plus that these pouches can be put in the freezer. I also know that kids always love pouches and these can be filled with wholesome food and drinks without sugar.

  105. I love that these can be put in the freezer! I would definitely use these for smoothies and maybe for yogurt too. I could buy yogurt in the big tubs and then spoon it into the Resqueeze, and then freeze. Then I could just throw one in the kid’s lunches…rather than buying the Chobani tubes I buy now. We go through a ton of those!!! I’m sure it would save some money! I also love that these can be put in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!

  106. I love making smoothies. I think these pouches are great, and I really like that they’re reusable. They would be great for healthy grab and go snacks.

  107. Though I would mostly use this blender for preparing soft foods when my lil man starts solids, and smoothies to load up those pouches for on the go days, I have to admit, I’m a sucker for chocolate, peanut butter, banana, coffee and soy milk smoothies…and will probably make a few of those every now and again for myself….:)

  108. I must be over the hill, because I wasn’t even aware of reusable pouches for baby food and drinks. My son is grown but I do have tons of friends with young ones. These pouches sound like a great idea to carry nutritious snacks and drinks. I also like that they are made in the USA. Oh and your little boy is a cutie.

  109. I would love to make smoothies in this blender. Mine doesn’t work well. It over heats when I put frozen fruit in it.

  110. These ReSqueeze pouches have got to be soooo convenient! I can only imagine how much simpler it is to travel with food/snacks and a bebe when all the spoons and plastic tubs are cut out of the picture, and replace with a ReSqueeze pouch!!

  111. I love that I can sneak more veggies into my children’s diet by making smoothies with spinach or carrots and then using the pouches!

  112. I think that two of these would just be enough for my morning smoothie…convenient for my walking commute!

  113. It would be so easy to premix smoothies and pour them inside the ReSqueezes and refrigerate or freeze them for later use. I often cannot drink a who;e smoothie at once.

  114. Thanks for the “heads-up” about not filling too much. This is the first I have heard of these refillable pouches and love, love, love the idea of being able to make my own and know exactly what is in them. These are such a great idea and quite a money-saver. I would have been one of those who would try to get as much as possible in and then had problems. Your information will certainly be used when I do get to try these. Thank you…

  115. Thanks for the opportunity to win. This is awesome, I never win anything, would love to have one !!!!!

  116. Pureed soups are my favorite but I have started making smoothies – banana, apple and a little spinach tastes pretty good but my favorite is berry.

  117. thanks for introducing me to these great little pouches! And they are dishwasher safe??!!?? Great!

  121. I love how easy these are to use! I have been pureeing my twins food the last couple months and now that they are almost one, this would be a great product to have so they can start feeding themselves a little more!

  122. I am so boring…but my favorite smoothie is just strawberry! I guess you could throw in some mango or pineapple and milk/ice and I would be just as happy! I am going to start using French Vanilla coffee creamer to see if that makes it even better. Thank you!

  123. I absolutely love that you can “hide” the veggies that these little boogers won’t eat inside of the yummy fruit! They don’t even know it! I also like that there is no mess and you can take it with you anywhere. Love it! Thank you very much!

  124. I like banana/berry smoothies (blackberries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, etc)

  125. I am a big smoothie fan. I love this nutritious and delicious spinach, apple, berry yogurt smoothie recipe I found recently. It may not sound too yummy, but I can promise you that it is!

  128. A favorite smoothie I like (that has no fruit. Crazy, I know!!!) is a Peanut Butter Chocolate one I do. I use almond milk, cocoa powder, natural peanut butter by Smuckers, a little vanilla, some xylitol, and ice cubes. Pulse until nice and smooth and mmm… it’s all gone! πŸ˜‰

  129. I would have to say blueberry smoothies and strawberry smoothies are my absolute faves! Now my daughter would probably go with strawberry if she had the choice πŸ™‚

  130. This is SUCH a great idea! I am so glad you reviewed it and told us how easy it is to use – my daughter LOVES this stuff but I cannot afford the expensive ones they sell in the store πŸ™ This would be awesome to win for her. She is 7 but disabled so mentally she is about 3 1/2 so she does eat and drink a lot of the same things as a toddler πŸ™‚

  131. I like they are reusable and I can put homemade stuff in them. I like they are made in Ca, it is where we live.

  132. We try to be green so its great to be able to reuse them with the kids loving to drink a lot.Love to make orange strawberry smoothies in the blender too.

  133. My daughter loves these little pouches and they can get pretty expensive. I like how these are reusable.

  134. I took a look at the top blenders on the market now and was pretty impressed by the results! I’ve been eyeing a new powerful blender for a few years now, specifically the vitamix; what I found however was the Blendtec actually scored 2 points higher on a review site for blenders. So Impressed! Here’s to learning something new everyday! Thanks again!

  135. ReSqueeae Reuseable Pouches are a great idea. They are convenient, save money and are a hit with children.

  136. my favorite puree is carrot puree and i add it to pasta sauce, soup, pizza sauce, anything i can hide it in!

  138. My kids would love these pouches. I would definitely love the blender! Mine is currently not working so hot! I find that the pouches in the stores, are expensive, yet I think it has less waste food wise. My daughter really likes eating out of them!

  139. I like to get these for my daughter since it is a easy way to sneak in veggies, but they do add up so I like how these are reusable.

  140. It’s nice that these pouches are reusable and can be cleaned in the dishwasher. It is also a great way to get children to eat a balanced me.
