I have time and again confessed my love for dresses. Whenever I am given a chance to choose an item from an online fashion store, I would almost always pick a dress. I just love feeling so feminine and light and breezy whenever I wear a dress. And now that spring is almost here, it’s time to get all my dresses out from the storage, and perhaps time to scour the internet for awesome dresses.

I actually got one for this review. And it’s not your mother’s dress. Pun intended.

Knot Your Mother’s Dress retails from $69.95 to $79.95. It is a universally flattering dress with empire waist and full skirt. Material is made of rayon/spandex and it comes in Black, Yellow, Cherry, Lime and Orange.

Since I usually go for the classic look, I picked the Knot Your Mother’s Dress in black. But just because it’s black, doesn’t mean it’s plain. Having reviewed a couple of Monroe & Main items in the past, I know that I can trust that their products are of good quality. That’s why even if most empire waist dresses make me look bulky, I decided to give this a try. And boy was I surprised.

Pleasantly surprised, actually, to see that it hugged me in all the right places! It didn’t make me look like I was pregnant the way other empire dresses made me look. The neckline was just a little too low for me, but it’s nothing a safety pin cannot fix.

And because I chose the black dress, I can style it up in so many different ways! I can use almost any jewelry or accessory I have to complete my look. In case I wanted to dress down, say I just need to pick up some groceries, I can just wear some flats and put on a simple jacket.

All in all, it’s a really nice dress in my opinion. And it’s great that it comes in so many different colors because I’m sure you’d want to have it in more than one color!
