Create A Reverse Wishlist With #pickURgift

This post is part of a sponsored campaign with Those Media Girls and pickURgift. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Reverse Wishlist? Is there such a thing? You might be thinking, “oh this is just another one of those wishlist websites again!” But let me tell you about this website that is unlike others that I’ve tried so far. While most gifting websites and apps let you pick from a list of items that you would like for yourself, pickURgift lets you pick any product that you think your friends will like and add it to a Gift Page. Thus the “reverse wishlist” term. You don’t create your own wish list. You create a list for your friends.

You can add any product from any website by using the UR bookmarklet which you can add to your browser’s toolbar. When you find something you think your friend would like, just click on the UR bookmarklet and add it to the appropriate Page. See it in action below.

UR bookmarklet

The website’s Dashboard is very easy to navigate. The menu on the left side lets you access your pages easily. I like that the “Page Alerts” and “Pages Sent To Me” are at the center and are very easy to see.

Now Gift Pages are what you create for your friends. I created a Page for my friend Rosalynda from and added product that I think she would like to receive. Then using the blanks on the left side of the screen, I can send this Page to her so she can choose the specific one she wants to receive from me.

You can see that under each item, there is a checkbox that says “I Like This Gift”. All I need to do is check the one I’d love to receive from her. In this case, I checked the Kindle Fire HDX.

After checking the “I Like This Gift” box, I just need to click on “Select Gifts” and this window pops up. This is where I enter my shipping address so that my friends can know where exactly they can send the item. I can even include a short message to thank them for their thoughtfulness. And once I click on Submit, my information will be sent to my friend so they can start purchasing it! Nice!
