My sweet tooth strikes again! Leche Flan is one of my favorite desserts of all time and I decided to put a twist to the usual creamy flan. Since most people here at home are coffee-lovers, I’m adding a bit of Nescafe Clasico and Coffee-mate Peppermint Mocha to the mix! Here’s the recipe!
- 5 egg yolks
- 7oz condensed milk
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1/4 cup Nescafe Coffee-mate Peppermint Mocha
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon Nescafe Classico coffee
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1oz water
- 2 small oval mold pans
- aluminum foil
- steamer
Instructions:
- Beat the 5 egg yolks in a bowl.
- Add condensed milk and mix. Try not to mix to hard so that bubbles won’t form.
- Pour in evaporated milk, Peppermint Mocha Coffee-mate, and vanilla extract. Stir. Again, try not to form bubbles.
- Add in the Nescafe Classico Coffee. It won’t dissolve in the mixture very easily so you’ll have to stir for a few minutes until the mixture is homogenous. Set the mixture aside while you prepare the syrup.
- To prepare the syrup, pour the brown sugar and water into a pan on medium heat and stir gently until sugar is dissolved.
- Pour the syrup into 2 oval mold pans. Make sure the whole bottom surface is covered by the syrup then let it cool for about 5 minutes.
- Once the syrups looks like it has settled, gently pour the mixture into the 2 oval mold pans.
- Cover the top with aluminum foil and place into steamer.
- Steam for 35-45 minutes.
- Once done, just let it cool in the refrigerator.
- Run a knife around the edge of the mold pan then invert it to place the flan onto a plate.
- Serve and enjoy!

I love flan and have been making my mother’s recipe for years but I have never seen a recipe like this one. I am definitely making it this weekend!
I have never eaten or made flan before, but this is a great recipe to do both. Thank you for sharing this recipe, it looks delicious.
This is so good. I’m glad it’s a recipe that I pinned and actually tried. Thanks again!
Interesting peppermint flan, never put the two together.
Thanks so much for this delicious recipe! It looks terrific! I have never had the opportunity to try Flan before. I’ve always wanted to try it, but have been afraid that I wouldn’t like it that maybe it was rubbery or something. I have no idea where I even got that idea! I presume that you need a certain type of pan to make these. I would love to make it like your recipe and then I can definitely say I’ve tried it! Thanks so much for this recipe! I honestly do appreciate it! I really do want to make it! Thanks so very much! Michele 🙂
