It’s Halloween again and almost everyone is getting excited about costumes, parties, Trick-or-Treating (is that a word??), and of course, candy! I’ve mentioned a couple of times before that I have such a sweet tooth that it’s hard for me to resist candies, chocolates and the like. And I think my son got the same inclination towards sweets from me.
So for Halloween, I’m trying to create something I’ve never done before — mixing two of my favorite sweets, Twix and marshmallows. I went to Walmart and bought a bag of Mars Mixed Fun Size with 55 pieces of Twix, Snickers, M&M plain and M&M peanut.
To make the Twix-y Pumpkin Mallows, you will need some Twix bars and some Pumpkin marshmallows. Place 2 pumpkin marshmallows in a bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds on low heat. While waiting for the marshmallows, crush 3 Twix bars with a knife. Once the marshmallows are done, mix the crushed Twix bars into the heated marshmallows. Place an unheated pumpkin marshmallow on top of the mixture and put 2 M&M candies so your pumpkin will have eyes. I just used some chocolate syrup for the mouth. Then surround the treat with M&M’s to make it pop with color. Enjoy!
To make the “Bloody Wormy Punch”, pour 7UP into a pitcher until it’s half-full. Then pour in Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red until the pitcher is full. Place 4 pieces of gummy worms at the bottom of a glass then pour the punch mixture until the glass is almost full. I love that the gummy worms add a bit of an eerie feel to the drink! 🙂
