Saving money is one thing I always try to do so I regularly check our bills to figure out what we can do to keep our costs down. The average home’s annual energy bill is $2,200 and ours can sometimes go over that. It’s a good thing there are energy-efficient products that can save us money.

Since October is Energy Awareness Month, I think now is a great time to upgrade to new energy-efficient appliances, television or computer to save money on our bills.

And Best Buy has more than 2,300 unique ENERGY STAR® certified products available in Best Buy stores and online at BestBuy.com! There you’ll find refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners, television sets, DVD players, laptops, computer monitors, printers and telephones. About ENERGY STAR®: It’s a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency.

And here’s more! Beyond savings from simply having energy efficient products, local utility companies provide additional ENERGY STAR Rebates that can save you up to $300! To find rebates available in your area, check out the Best Buy online rebate finder! Simply enter your zip code and check the items you’re interested in getting. Then it will show you the available rebates for your local area.

With so many items needing energy in our homes, choosing energy-efficient appliances and products will greatly help make your home greener while helping you save money. Even doing something as simple as doing some home improvements such as getting your roof fixed, this can also help you save money when it comes to the heating bill, as you’re house will be kept warm and comfortable. Remember that a roofing company is there for reasons like this, so if you are conscious about being energy efficient within the home, this may be the first step in making a positive change in your lifestyle and your home too. Homes aren’t the only places where people are looking to save money, those who have started a business and own commercial property may also be interested in finding a great deal on their energy prices. If you are interested in finding out where you could find the best utility prices for your business, you might want to have a look around at the comparison sites online to find the best prices for you and your business. Having a handle of your utilities could help your businesses’ finances in the long run and help you to save money.
