Disclosure: I received the Natracare products below for evaluation purposes. Thoughts are my own.
I’ve been using green and eco-friendly products for more than a year now and, while I still cannot be considered exclusively green, I must say that I like the fact that I’m using household products that are less harmful to my family and to the environment. And I’m glad to have been given a chance to try out some Natracare products.
Natracare stands for more than just organic and natural products. They are committed to offering organic and natural solutions for personal health care that leave a soft footprint on the earth out of respect for future generations. Natracare uses only organic and natural materials that meet the highest organic, environmental and biodegradable standards, sourced from raw material producers that manage and monitor resources respectfully.
I was able to read one of their press releases entitled “Why Not Say It Like It Is” and it says:
Feminine hygiene manufacturers don’t have to list ingredients on their packaging, and even though some products claim to be natural, they could contain bleach residuals, plastic and synthetics.
That really hit me. I never really check the ingredients for any of the feminine hygiene products I use. I guess I just trust them because they are well-known brands. But Natracare does list their ingredients and they’re proud to say that they use only organic and natural materials and ingredients that are biodegradable and compostable and meet the highest environmental standards and certification.
I’ve been using Natracare intimate wipes, cotton tampons and panty liners for a month now and I can say that it performs just as well as the leading brands of feminine care products. So given a choice between natural and organic products versus products that are popular but may be questionable, I’d still go for natural and organic!
