My husband and I have one favorite snack whenever we go to the mall and do some window shopping — Jalapeno Cheese Pretzel Dogs! I can seriously eat 2 large ones in less than 30 minutes!
Now I know it might take me a long time to actually replicate the taste of our favorite scrumptious snack but let me share with you a quick recipe that we both love having when we’re at home craving for some spicy hotdog with cheese! This recipe uses Lindsay Peppers which I shopped for at Lucky Supermarkets.
Jalapeno Pepper Cheese Hotdog Recipe
What you’ll need:
- Hotdogs
- Hotdog Buns
- Cheese (at least 5 slices)
- Lindsay Peppers Jalapeno, sliced
Instructions:
- Heat hotdog buns in microwave oven.
- Fry hotdogs in medium heat until cooked.
- Place cooked hotdogs in warm hotdog buns.
- Melt cheese in a small pan in low-medium heat.
- Mix Lindsay Peppers sliced jalapenos into the melted cheese.
- Add 2 teaspoons of the water in the Lindsay Peppers Jalapeno jar to give the dip a smoother and more liquid-y consistency.
- Pour jalapeno pepper cheese mixture onto hotdogs.
- Top with more Lindsay Peppers Jalapeno slices.
- Serve and enjoy!
Tip: Spoon remaining jalapeno pepper cheese mixture into a small bowl and refrigerate. This mixture can also be used as a dip for your chips!
Another tip: If you don’t have much time on your hands, you can also microwave the cheese to melt it. Just be careful with the time and heat settings so you don’t burn it!
