Here’s One Way I Earn Online

This is a sponsored post.

As a stay-at-home mom, I try to compensate for the fact that I don’t (significantly) add to our family’s income as much as when I was still working. I’m pretty sure a lot of you out there are curious to know how people make money on the internet. Aside from blogging, here’s how I earn a little extra on the side.

I search the internet.

Yup! You got that right. I search the internet using Swagbucks. If you haven’t heard of Swagbucks yet, you’re missing out on an awesome way to earn gift cards online!

Swagbucks

Here’s a time I earned 50 Swagbucks for just one search 2 years ago. 🙂

Swagbucks lets you earn points for doing things you’re already doing online such as searching the internet, completing offers, answering polls, and watching videos. You can then use those points to redeem gift cards to Amazon, Walmart, Paypal, CVS, Lowe’s, Best Buy and so many other online retailers!

I get so excited every time I reach about 450 points because that means I can earn another $5 Amazon GC (I’m an Amazon addict!). Right now, I have 369 points — all earned by searching. I have actually made Swagbucks the default search engine on my browser so that anytime I need to check something, I just type the key words onto my address bar and Chrome reveals the search results from Swagbucks!

Online loyalty programs are a great way to earn some gift cards on the side so you can save up for the stuff you want! Sign up now!

  1. I have read good things about Swagbucks on multiple websites. I haven’t taken the plunge yet. I should really consider it – maybe this weekend. Thanks for sharing your review!

  2. I have heard of Swagbucks before, but wasn’t really sure how it worked. I thought maybe it cost to join. Thanks for clearing up the mystery! Now I have to check it out!

  3. I tried swagbucks once, but it really slowed down my computer….which made searching less fun…. I like the idea of earning items for things I already do (if only I could make doing personal household chores income producing….), but will need to check out Swagbucks again to see if it has less of a slowing effect on my computer! Thanks!

  4. I do a lot of surveys and make a decent amount of money. I have just never been able to understand Swagbucks. Maybe I’ll go back and try again.

  5. I have watched ads & done surveys on Swagbucks, hoping to hit that elusive number to earn my first $5.00 Amazon gift card. It’s nice to hear that you have received cards. I have to persevere.

  6. I just had my 2 Year Anniversary with SwagBucks, and I think that they are the best earning Website out there.

  7. I have heard about swagbucks and thinking I should really give it a try since it’s all been good!

  8. I’ve used swagbucks, but I can’t say I’m really a fan. I get that it can be hit or miss with finding codes and what amount they will be, but to me it seems to take forever to actually accumulate any decent amount of points.

    • I agree it does take a while. That’s why I had to make it my browser’s default search engine — so that every time I need to search anything (which I do multiple times a day), there’s always a possibility of getting points. Even then, it still takes a while, but I don’t mind it since I know that I will eventually get a gift card. 🙂

  9. FINALLY!!!! Someone who agrees with me. Everyone teases me and says why r u always swagging. I joined about 2 months ago and have got 1 25.00 pay-pal card and am about 40 points away from my 2nd. I also have their toolbar. You gave good advice-Listen up people she is correct on this

  10. I tried to join swagbucks and they insist that you have a bank account to get their offers. Not being married and not working so its not feasible right now. Wish that I could

    • There are some no-obligation offers on Swagbucks but the corresponding points aren’t as high as the offers with purchase requirement. For those no-obligation offers, you don’t need a bank account (I don’t ever give out my bank account info except for really important matters). I used to do lots of offers before but now I just stick to searches since I do a lot of internet searches everyday. 🙂

  11. ooh, I’m very interested in learning more. I’m headed to there later today to check it out. who doesn’t love compensation for what they already do. heck, as a writer I probably do enough research per day to earn a card every day.

  12. I used to use SwagBucks and loved the rewards- I forgot my log-in information and lost all my points- I had like 20,000 or something ridiculous. I should start over I guess.

  13. I tried swagbucks quite a while back, but found it time consuming. My sister swears by it and loves it. I think it’s time to try it out again.

  14. i am a swagbucks member but i never understood how to search the internet, this post cleared that up pretty good for me and i’m going to try it! thanks!!

  15. I have been answering the daily poll, taking part in surveys and searching thru Swagbucks and I am thrilled every time I earn a new Amazon gift card.

  16. I wish that I knew how to actually use the computer beyond the bare bone basics of point and click!

  17. Awesome idea! I have also heard of things like this for charities and non-profits!
