My engagement ring is very important to me. I consider it the first symbol of my husband’s love for me.

I remember there was a time he was already planning to propose. He got everything ready but forgot the ring here in the US (I was in the Philippines back then). So he kept on apologizing and said he’ll just give me the ring next time. So that “next time” was 2 years after that. We had breakfast at a restaurant and he just pointed to the ring when I got back from the ladies’ room.

We all have different engagement/proposal stories. I once asked for such stories on my Facebook page and it was awesome to read all of them!

  1. LOL, I only got 3 of them right! That’s ok – I’ve been married twice – my first ring was 33 points, my second was 25 points. Not that that matters, both marriages failed anyway!

  2. I don’t really have a story. We just decided to get married. At the time we worked together,different shifts. When he came in he gave me the ring.Since then I’ve upgraded twice.After 22 years why not?

  3. I failed the quiz miserably, but then again, I don’t really care that much about expensive jewelry – my husband gave me a tiny diamond ring for our engagement and I do treasure it, but I like that we spend the money on travelling instead!
