Celebrate Mother’s Day At A Buffets Inc. Restaurant!

When we were planning my son’s 1st birthday last year, hubby and I had 2 options. We could either celebrate Sam’s birthday at home or at a buffet restaurant. But because we didn’t want to get stressed, we decided to go with the second option.

This coming Mother’s Day, we’ll be eating out with his mom and since we don’t want to be stressed out with cooking and cleaning up, we’re most likely going to eat at a buffet restaurant again.

My family had the opportunity to receive meal cards from Buffets Inc — the parent company of Hometown Buffet, Country Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Ryan’s and Fire Mountain — so we could try and enjoy their hearty meals. So we went to the Hometown Buffet just a couple of minutes from our place.

When we entered the restaurant, we had to line up and pay first (we used our meal cards). After that, we were free to get any food we wanted from their big buffet area.

I love how there’s so many choices in buffets so we don’t have to fight over the type of food we’re eating. I can’t tell you how many times one of us wanted japanese food while the other one wanted mexican, italian or american food. So a buffet is definitely the best option for us.

This Hometown Buffet offered so many different types of food that I got a bit too excited. I wanted to try almost every thing I saw. Well, not really everything but almost!

I really liked their corn soup and the buttered corn (can you tell I love corn yet?). They also had pizza, nachos, pasta, fried chicken, french fries, cheese sticks, and so much more! Their desserts didn’t fail me either. I really liked the carrot cake! You can see in the photos below that my family had a feast!

I took the first photo below just when we arrived at the Hometown Buffet. The second photo was taken just before we left and you could see that the place is packed! I guess that’s a testament that Hometown Buffet is a name so many families love when it comes to dining out!

  3. I love buffets since everyone can get what they want when they want to. I just wish 1) they weren’t so very expensive and 2) that they would give discounts for people with gastric bypass…

However, the best I’ve ever been to (I have to say I’ve never been to Buffets Inc.) was in Toronto, Canada: the Mandarin. Oh Em Gee!

  21. I like a buffet because I’m a picky eater. Especially if it’s my first time trying a new dish. I’d rather taste a little, than order it as a main course only to find out I don’t like it.

  22. Thanks so much for your Terrific Review on Celebrate Mother’s Day At A Buffets Inc. Restaurant! The only name I recognize on your list is Old Country Buffet! We’ve been there a few times in the past! I really Love going to the Buffets! It’s so nice to be able to get what you want to eat and not have to clean up when you’re done! You don’t have to cook and at the buffet, you even get a dessert and coffee (if you want) and it’s just wonderful! We haven’t been out to eat in a long time, and boy am I ready to go out! I think the kids are ready as well! Tim has only been back to work for a couple of weeks and things are still the same. With the extra bills of the hospital and doctors/specialists, etc. we are just getting by! Thanks so very much for sharing your review and information on Celebrate Mother’s Day At A Buffets Inc. Restaurant with all of us! I truly do appreciate it! Thanks again! Michele 🙂

  23. I like a buffet because, as you said, you can taste different foods that are new to you. Whenever I go I take my favorites and a forkful of a few new dishes. That way if I don’t like it I’m wasting food.
