KitchenAid Artisan 5-Quart Mixer Giveaway ($350 Value) — 209 Comments

  1. Making bread! I have never figured out how to make good yeast bread but I love the taste of homemade bread and so does everyone in my family. Would love to learn!

  2. Easy of mixing baked good recipes like cookie and cake batter, mixing base dips and sauces. I use a hand mixer and have Lyme and degeneration of joints. I’d love to have a mixermaster…never have.

  3. I’ve been dreaming of having a KithenAid for so long! I’m keeping my fingers crossed

  4. First I’d probably use it to mix up things for baking – cookies, cakes, etc – in my new oven! I’d also buy the meat grinder attachment and use it to grind deer meat into hamburger next hunting season!

  5. If I won I’d try my hand at baking bread. I’ve heard so many good things about using a KA mixer and making bread that I’m totally curious.

  6. What’s one thing you’d use your new KitchenAid Mixer for?

    mashed potatoes

  7. I sense a lot of baking in the future with that… lots of bread making with it as I wouldn’t dare to do it with my old one.

    Mishelle

  8. I’d give it to my mom. She is always making (the best) cheesecakes for friends and family on their birthdays or special occasions. She has always dreamed of having a KitchenAid mixer especially for making cheesecake.

  9. I have been wanting to do a cupcake fundraiser desperately.. but my present old mixer just won’t cut it.. winning this would help with so many things, but especially this!

  10. I would use it to make my grandmother’s homemade poundcake! Then I would probably give homemade bread dough a try.

  11. I would use this to make the food I can no longer afford to buy at the grocery store since my fiance’ was forced to resign from his job and we lost our major income.

  12. A friend and I are cooking up a business baking. My Kitchaid mixer recently broke in a move :{ and this one would help us so much to get mixing up the new biz. This color would go perfectly in my new kitchen, BTW

  13. This mixer reminds me of childhood and my mom’s big Kitchenaid mixer! I’d use it for whipping up healthy baked goods and and various homemade household/beauty items.

  14. Actually this would be for my mom so she has an easier time making her pie crust

  15. Mock whipped cream frosting. It takes about 12 minutes of whipping, and it gets tiring with a handheld mixer.

  16. I would use for mashed potatoes and pizza crusts pie crust. Pancakes and cookies

  17. I would do so much more baking. I have carpal tunnel and sometimes I wish I had one of these to make things so much easier for me

  18. I would use the kitchen aid mixer to bake cookies , I have always wanted one but could never afford one!!

  19. We do most of our cooking and baking from scratch. And right now, we do it all by hand. I would use a mixer for EVERYTHING! From cookies, to bread to meatloaf, to whipped cream, and everything in between!

  20. Baking all kinds of things! I really want to improve my cake decorating skills, so this would be helpful in prep-ing the cakes! 🙂

  21. I am a cake decorator and we used to have a 1950s style mixer but it just went out this last year, so I could really use a new mixer so I can do cakes and and cookies again!

  22. Making delicious bread and the amazing red velvet cake and Cupcakes, lots of cupcakes!

  23. I would use it to make the Pioneer Woman’s “That’s The Best Frosting I’ve Ever Had”. It really is. Thx for an awesome giveaway. Loves the color of that mixer.

  24. I would use this for making meringues, bread, cakes, and other delicious baked goods.

  25. I love baking. I have passion for Baking..So lot of baking 🙂
    Thanks for giveaway.

  26. I would use it to make sponge cakes…. the long mixing time is a killer with a hand held mixer.

  27. I will use my new KitchenAid Mixer to make fabulous cookies and cakes and breads and so much more!

  28. Ah well, it would be a good excuse to make some lovely cakes, would have to try it out lots!

  29. Baking. I tried making frosting with a hand mixer recently, it took forever and my arm was killing me!

  30. This is tough…….not the question to be answered because I can easily say I’d use it to bake with my girls again.

The tough part……no pity party……just a sadness. Since the day my mother had one of these and we used to spend time together with it all the time. I always wanted one of my own. 16 years later, married and had two baby girls I finally came to a point which I saved the money to be able to buy one of these. Fast forward……last year my girls and I (I’m now a single mom on indefinite disability from panic attacks and crippling phobias) we lost ‘everything’ in our last apartment. All of it! Pictures, books, memories including this mixer that was still a baby *practically new and so well cared for because it was a memory with my mom* all of it gone. Being a single mom and replacing and rebuilding over this past year has been heart wrenching. Some things are ‘needs’ to have been replaced and still barely replaced anything, while others are ‘wishes’ that I could not responsibly justify spending a once a month income on. Bills, rent and food come first for my girls. This would be an amazing win. However, win or not thank you so much for the opportunity to try. This is something I’ll never be able to replace and it is a ‘wish’, not a ‘need’. If nothing else Iearned, very much so, how to differentiate and understand fully, when I talk, about the difference of what a true necessity is as opposed to a wish!!

Good Luck to ALL and may all your needs be met with sparkles of wishes coming true for you. Enjoy each and every moment, cherish every single tiny thing, such as family pictures and, more so, pictures drawn by your babies/children because they can never ever be replaced. When I was bedridden for those two years my youngest daughter (ten at the time) brought me a weekly picture from the comic pages that she drew from and a monthly care package of any special little thing she could find at home from pencils to erasers, nail polish, pictures, get well cards, cute and pretty little rocks and flowers from outside, but mostly her Heart! The biggest Heart of Love and Giving I’ve ever known. All of that is gone as well, except her Heart. It hugs mine every day. Please, if this message means nothing else……be grateful for the little things and wishes for the big things to come true for you.

    • Thank you, Melissa! It’s always nice to be reminded to cherish the little things in life — especially these days when a lot of people have the tendency to prioritize “wants” or “wishes”.

      • Hi Isis,

I’m so sorry that message was so long. When I got here and saw the question my intent was a quick reply. However, once I started typing I found out I wasn’t quite over it as much as I thought I was.

I very much appreciate your reply though. The only entry I was able to do was the comment because I as I mentioned above the FB app is what I have to work with so it doesn’t allow much and I forgot my twitter PW so things are looking up, lol. Yes, slight joking at my ” series of unfortunate events” lol.

Thank you and Good luck to everyone here <3
