How Can I Pray For You Today?

How can I pray for you today

I just had a much-needed talk with my mother a few minutes ago. I don’t know if it’s just a mom thing but whenever I talk to her about my concerns, I feel really encouraged. Well, I guess that’s also because she always makes it a point to pray for me and remind me of who God is in my life and all the promises set forth in His Word.

As many of you know, it’s Palm Sunday today and next Sunday is Easter Sunday. And all throughout the week, I will be dedicating certain hours of the day for prayer and fasting. This also serves as preparation for me since I will be leading worship at our church next week.

Now, I know that not every Bay Area Mommy reader may believe in the same things as I do, and that’s okay. I will never in any way impose my beliefs on anyone.

But if you have concerns that you’d like for me to pray about, I’d love for you to share it in the comments below.

It would be a privilege to pray for you. You don’t need to disclose who you are, especially since I know some of you many not like to share personal stuff on the internet. You can just include whatever information you’d like to share.

I would like for you to know that there is someone here on the west coast standing with you in prayer as you go through your situation.

So how can I pray for you today?

  1. What a selfless soul you are! Please don’t pray for me, but for the helpless feral and stray cats and dogs in my neighborhood. I do the best I can with the limited budget I have to keep them fed, spayed/neutered and healthy, but there are so many risks in their environment and I just don’t want to see them suffering. Thanks!

    • Thank you, MD Kennedy, for doing your part in helping the stray cats and dogs in your neighborhood! I think that’s selflessness in action. I pray that appropriate organizations would be able to adopt them and give them proper care and even give them a new home.

  2. Our family is facing losing our husband and father of our children this week due to him falling prey to the devil in a moment of weakness and may be facing prison time. I of course do not condone what he did and he is normally otherwise a good man and loving father… Our finances are in shambles and we are without gas and water currently. God knows what we are in need of and I leave it in his hands. May his will be done… Thank you for the prayers

    • I pray for God’s strength for you, Jen, and your husband as you go through this time in your life. I ask that God provide your family with your needs, and give you comfort and peace. Amen.

  3. I need a job!! Preferably state…I left my husband six months ago due to abusive behaviors that u didn’t want my kids around. I had to move to Salem and in with my Mom due to no job or way to support them. We all want to live here though. Please pray that God would grant me a job where He wants us to live…either here or there…and soon, full time, and with benefits. Also that it will be something I can handle physically. Thank you and God bless! Oh…btw…if I can pray for YOU, or if you want another sister-friend, please let me know. You are a blessing. bree~

    • Hi Bree! Thank you for offering to pray for me too. At this time, my family needs a little more income (blogging is not enough to supplement my husband’s income for all our expenses). I’m starting to look for a job too but being a stay at home mom for over 2 years, I don’t think I’m such a good candidate for a job compared to other job hunters. But the Lord is good and He has not failed to provide for our necessities. I appreciate your prayers too.

I pray to God for your needs to be provided for and for guidance as you look for a job. Praying for favor in the eyes of the people who will be interviewing you and may you be given a job where God wants you to be.

  4. Please pray for my uncle John, he went to emergency room this weekend with stroke like systoms, they had to move him to another hospital as he does not have insurance. They found a 2inch tumor on the right side of his brain. They should be doing a biopsy to see if it is malignent and or to see if it is operable. They say he is in good spirits and knows its in God’s hands. Thanks so much!!

    • Hi Tracy! I have prayed (and am continually praying) for your Uncle John. Have the doctors given you an update regarding his situation?

I pray for God’s healing hands to touch your Uncle John and guidance on the doctors and nurses who are taking care of him. I also pray for blessing so that financial needs may be provided for. Amen.

      • Isis,
Thank You so much for praying for my Unce John. He had brain sugery yesterday and removed the tumor, which ended up a little bigger than first thought, 2 1/2 inches not cm, God gave us a mircle for sure the sugery went really well, was suppose to be a 3 to 6 hour sugery and it was a two 1/2 hours, there was mostly likely chance that he might be tempory impaired on left side. By God’s grace he was not effected was able to move his left hand and foot so well the Dr. said he may get out of ICU today, which they first said he would be in ICU for 3 days. God is soo Good!!Now the wait to see what the results are from the tumor, if it is cancer or not. We are claiming good report in Jesus name!!!Amen

  5. Thank you so much. I had surgery on the 13 of this month and have been doing well….it was for a suspected bowel obstruction, but turned out less serious than that. I’m doing well, but tonight my incision which is about 8 inches long has started seeping and bleeding. I called the surgeon and I’m to call them in the morning. I don’t think there is any infection, but I have been dealing with some health problems regarding this for a long time and would love if I didn’t have to have another complication. Thank you….how can we pray for you. I love this passion week of our Christ….all that He did for us and all that He means to us. God Bless you.

    • Hi Jane! I have prayed for you and will continually do so. Did the surgeon tell you why the incision was bleeding? I pray for God to touch your incision, stop the bleeding and remove any infection if there is any. Let’s continue to trust God that He holds our lives in His hands as long as we look to Him in prayer.

      • Thank you so much for your prayers. I think the bleeding was because some stitches have broken loose….there is no infection and the bleeding has lessened. My husband Nurse Ratchett is making me take it easy which is good and I’m gaining strength….so thankful for my husband who so lovingly cares for me and thankful for a healing body. Went to a worship concert at church tonight and it was so uplifting….just what I needed. He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!

        • Hi, I just wanted to let you know that yesterday was the best day I have had in a very long time. I was able to say that I felt great. Actually, I think I overdid it a little, so I’m taking it easy today so I’ll be feeling good for Easter, but it was wonderful to feel like my old self for a day. And it was such beautiful weather here. Happy Easter to you and to your family. He is Risen. He is Risen, indeed!

  6. Thank you for offering your prayers to others. Last week my face became swollen, red and dry/rashy along with my neck. After taking Benydryl with no results, I went to the dr., who gave me a epinephrine (sp?) shot and a prescription for Clariton. I don’t know what caused it, so of course, whatever it was – caused my face to swell-up and rash-up again; and being that it is the weekend, I had to suffer (still suffering) the discomforts (with no relief from Clariton or Benydryl). So, I would appreciate your prayers for a healing to my illness/allergies. Thank you and God Bless You!

    • Hi Sylvia! How’s your face now? Is it still swollen? Know that I’m praying for your healing and comfort. Also praying that you and your doctor can identify what has caused it right away so they can recommend the right meds for you. God bless!

    • Is it painful? Could it possibly be shingles? I don’t know anything medical, but just have heard that shingles are usually on one side of the affected part of the body. Hope you are feeling better.

  7. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may HIS light Shine upon You ! I am a 65 yr. old senior, I am renting a room, and do not have a car to get around. My total belongings consist of 5 boxes of books and clothes. PLEASE pray that I may get blessed with a beautiful home of my own and a car. My DESIRE is to be able to have my sons and grandsons in my own home for prayer and love. Thanks, Deneen

  8. I was always on the fence as far as religion goes.Several years ago my child was very ill. He was 2 years old and had no knowledge of God. He was the first to come down with a deadly bacterial virus which they now vaccinate for.Anyways,One night a priest was called in. They sedated me. He died that night and came back.He said an angel took him up on an umbrella to see God. He was told mommy needed him so back he came. To this day he doesn’t remember it.

  9. My husband died recently and I am very sad all the time. I pray quite a bit but do not seem to be able to stop crying and worrying about how I am going to be able to go on without him. If you could pray for me and for him (John) I would greatly appreciate it.

  11. My request is that you pray for the many teens who are taking Christ to neighborhoods across the U.S. as a part of Child Evangelism Fellowship 5-day clubs. Children are invited to come to a neighbor’s house & with parental permission hear that Christ died to pay the penalty for their sins.

  12. Please pray for me as I really need strength from Lord right now. I am facing difficulties in finishing my works. I am afraid that I can’t finish my work on time. I am situated in a hopeless and helpless situation.

  13. To me there is nothing better than the gift of prayer for someone. I had a great prayer warrior for many years and she passed away a couple of years ago. I miss her and our many conversations and prayers together. God Bless
