I love vintage dresses.

I like how vintage dresses exude such femininity especially when paired with heels. I like vintage dresses that don’t show too much skin, fall below the knee and don’t show any cleavage.

I always have a hard time looking for vintage dresses that fit my preferences. If you’re more of an alternative fashionista, there will be plenty of choice at this gothic clothing store. For me, it would be easier if my body was still as thin as when I was in college. But because of the weight I gained in the past few years, I also have to consider the shape of my body.

A search online for vintage dresses would reveal a couple of really nice dresses like the following:

Shabby Apple is a great place to find vintage dresses! I received their Ballerina Vintage Dress (the last photo above) for review and it’s really cute!

The Ballerina Dress is a purple v-neck vintage dress with bubble sleeves. Its most unique feature is the ruched waist which helps hide any tummy bulge because it would just seem “normal”. This vintage dress is made of a very comfortable jersey fabric. I think it does run a bit large though because the dress was a bit loose for me even though I ordered my usual size (unless all my dieting has already worked).

I think this dress really has a feminine flare and that’s why I like it! Although it might have been better if I had a bigger chest since the front part was a bit loose for me. I used it at church with a tank top inside as I usually do with most dresses that are v-necked so it looked better on my small chest.

You can purchase any Shabby Apple Dress for 10% off list price with coupon code bayareamommy10off!

Do you think these vintage dresses look nice? I’m giving away a $50 Gift Card at Shabby Apple so you can buy your own pretty vintage dress!
