Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag Review (repost)

* For some reason, the review I wrote for the Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag last November 30 got lost. 🙁 I don’t remember deleting it since I don’t ever delete posts (bad for SEO). Good thing Google has a cached copy of my review. So here it is. 🙂

Aside from actual cloth diapers, one of the necessities for cloth diapering is a wet/dry bag where you can store used cloth diapers.  And the most recommended wet/dry bag brand in the market? Planet Wise!

I have personally checked some wet bags in retail stores around here and I didn’t like any of them because it seemed to me that they weren’t really meant for storing used cloth diapers. Or maybe that’s just how I feel because they’re too small for my taste. I liked these Hanging Wet/Dry Bags from Planet Wise though. They’re big enough to hold my son’s used cloth diapers until it’s time for me to wash them — which I usually do every 2-3 days.

Planetwise Hanging Wet/Dry Bags come in 36 different prints. The material used is a high quality anti-microbial polyurethane laminate (PUL) that prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi. It measures 16.5″ x 27″ and can hold 20-24 cloth diapers. For this review, I chose the Monkey Fun print.

See how cute it is?? I really love this wet/dry bag! You see, before I received it, I was just using a simple box to store my son’s used cloth diapers. The box, obviously, could not really contain the wetness and the smell. I was actually wondering if I could just use our Diaper Genie (for disposables) for this purpose. I researched on it and found out that since it won’t allow any circulation of air inside, it would just become a breeding ground for bad bacteria or germs.

The Planet Wise Hanging Wet/Dry Bag is so waterproof that every time I wash it, I need to check the inside of the waterproof part for water that has not been released during the spinning cycle. This means that however wet your kid’s diapers may be (especially if you used a diaper sprayer), all that water won’t spill.

Aside from the wet bag, it also has a front pocket for dry or unused cloth diapers. This wet/dry bag is something that families can bring with them anywhere and not have any problem as to where to put it since you can very easily hang it on any door knob.
