We all know Little Tikes. They have been providing quality toys for children since the 1970s. I remember my older sister buy her daughter a Little Tikes Playhouse. I got really excited when the package arrived at our house. I think I was more excited than anybody because I really wanted to play with my son and act like I’m cooking for him. but I guess my husband was more excited because he set it up as soon as it arrived and didn’t even let me help him. Men! LOL! Here are some photos of my son and his friend Kris Paul.
I love that the colors are red, white and gray. It’s gender-neutral so you can purchase it whether you have a boy or a girl. Some people were initially surprised that I let my son play with a toy kitchen. They say that play kitchens are for girls only. I don’t think so. Most of the greatest chefs you see on TV are men so, no, I don’t think having an interest or some skills in cooking is something that’s exclusively for girls. As a matter of fact, my husband cooks more often than I do.
There are stickers that need to be placed on certain areas to make it look more realistic. So the oven part looks like there’s chicken inside and the microwave looks like there’s pizza inside. It has an area for the coffeemaker too. My son’s favorite part is the sink area especially because he loves our faucet. The first time he saw the faucet in the play kitchen, he was trying to turn the faucet on but he was so confused that no water was coming out. There were so many accessories included in the package that makes the play kitchen all the more realistic. Now we just need a dining area/table. 🙂
The only thing I need to be careful with is that when the oven door is open, my son thinks it’s a platform and tries to step on it. So I just need to make sure he doesn’t step on it.
Overall, I soooo love this play kitchen! It’s decently priced compared to some play kitchens that cost a lot more. Your child is sure to enjoy it!
