Here’s another review and giveaway for all the cloth diaper lovers out there! Let me introduce to you — Tender Tushies. Tender Tushies is a Maple Ridge, BC-based company that strives to provide cloth diapers for every budget! The people behind this company spent many months trying different types of diapers and getting feedback from parents so they could choose their favorite dipes.
I received the Green Bamboo Diaper (retail value: $16) from Tender Tushies to facilitate a review on this blog. The Green Bamboo Diaper is a One Size (OS) which fits most babies weighing 9lbs -35lbs. It has snaps for adjusting the size depending on your baby.
I love that the Tender Tushies Bamboo cloth diaper has 2 layers of snaps on the belt area.
With these snaps, I can easily adjust the size in the waist and the legs and not have to deal with drooping flaps. There is also an extra cross over snap for extra small babies Below that area, there are 9 snaps where you can further adjust the size of the diapers. The fabric on the inside is very soft. I guess that’s how micro fleece really feels. But it’s the kind of fabric you’d just want to touch over and over again. Too bad I had to wash it so my son could try it. LOL! The insert included is made of 2 bamboo layers and 2 microfiber layers.
The Tender Tushies insert is very absorbent.
I could probably attribute that to the fact that it has 2 bamboo layers and bamboo layers absorb more moisture than microfiber. The inside lining is very effective because even after I change my baby’s wet diaper, t doesn’t feel like it’s wet. Yes, I touched it. 🙂
I suggest that if you’re planning to use it as an overnight diaper, use 2 inserts instead of just 1 to increase absorption and prevent any leaks. One insert is great though during the day and for daytime naps.
This diaper is available on the Tender Tushies website for $16. They also have other types of cloth diapers and lots of other products for babies like leg warmers, nursing covers, pacifier clips, etc so do check them out!
